Covid Info for Camp Parents

Thank you for continuing to support Our CupCakery’s family business over the past few months with your pre-orders and in store contactless pickups. Our retail store opened mid June after we felt we could exceed the mandated Ohio changes for our grab-n-go treats as usual. But nothing is as usual, right?

As we start our second week of summer of camps we continue to study the COVID-19 information provided by our health officials.  To keep our customers, family, and staff safe, we’ve made changes to follow the Franklin County Department of Health (FCDH) protocols for Responsible Restart Ohio found here. Last but not least we have implemented additional safety standards, which include:


~ Our student teacher ratio is a max of 9:1 not the suggested 10:1 from the FCDH.

~ Staff and student will be screened and evaluated prior to them entering the classroom for signs of illness, such as a temperature over 100.4 F, cough, or shortness of breath.

~ We require all staff and students to wear masks.   Gloves will be worn when working with baked food and containers.

~ Campers will work with the same partner for the entire week and not rotate to other friends as we have done in the past.

~ Campers will stay within their group and area while preparing baked goods, washing hands, cleaning surfaces and lunchtime.

~ Posters reminding campers to wear their mask, wash hand frequently, and stay home if sick are located throughout the bakery as a reminder to campers, staff and customers.

~ Sanitizer is available for use all day along in addition to hand sinks.
~ High contact surfaces will be cleaned regularly during camp not just every 2 hours. 
~ Campers will decorate their own baked goods using their own ingredients and utensils.
~ Parents must drop-off and pick up their child at the front entrance or outside patio (weather permitting).  Students will then be assigned their baking area and teacher.

~ Campers will be partnered.  If they are coming with a friend or sibling please let us know whom that is by Sunday at 12:00 so we can partner them together otherwise we’ll assign partners.

~ Campers will be given a plastic nametag for the week.  It will serve as our camp sign in and sign out tool.  Nametags will be given out by the teacher when they arrive and collected when parents pick up.  Therefore parents do not need to sign in or sign out campers. Staff will sanitize nametags daily.

~ If someone other than a parent is picking up a camper we need you to text us that persons name, your name, and the campers name by 12:00 to 614-659-1555.

~ Unfortunately aprons will not be ‘autographed” this year and will be distributed on the last day of camp.

~What has not changed are the new friends campers will meet, learn fun baking and decorating techniques, and BRING HOME tasty treats.



~ Please continue to wear masks as required by Dublin and Franklin County.

~ Wear close toed shoes, no flip-flops or sandals.

~ Long hair needs to be in a bun or braided.

~ No cell phones or back packs please due to space limitations,

~ Lunch and a water bottle with names on each.
